Questions:
1.  How and why did the Jewish population increase so rapidly in the 19th century?

Jewish population increased during the 19th century due to the objective of the alliance. It promoted the emancipation and moral progress of the Jews as well as assisting those who suffer, and to encourage anything that would essential bring about both of these things. Development of schools allowed access to a proper education for the Jewish people which promoted the alliance too. Immigrants at this time were also accepted and helped more than they were in previous centuries.

  1. Your answer is about the Alliance Israelite Universelle, not about the population increase of Jews in Europe.
