Blog post for 11/4

  1. The problem Zionists proposed to solve was the "Here or There?" question of the Jews. Where could the "Jewish Question" be solved? Zionists believed the answer to all the Jews problems was to return to the land of Palestine and set up a Jewish state with hebrew as the official language.
  2. Pinsker claimed that Jews were somewhat of eternal strangers, and they will always face anti-Semitism because Jews are not fully capable of assimilating into society, because they are not the majority. He claimed that every society had its saturation point where there are too many Jews for the economy, and they will eventually be pushed out of the local economy in preference to those of the same ethnic group as the majority. He claimed the Jews had to emancipate themselves from Christian society and create their homeland.
