The effect WWI on the
Jews in Eastern Europe was the Pale of Settlement, which was given to Imperial
Russia which allowed Jews who already lived there to stay, but no new Jews were
allowed to come. Many Jews were forced to live outside this pale, which stretched from the eastern
pale to the western Russian border. Jews that no longer wanted to stay here fled
to Galicia. During this time there was conflict between the Ukraine and Poland, where the Jews stayed neutral and were commended for that.

The Jew count of 1916
was created by the German military to see how patriotic these German Jews were
to their country. As expected, the Jews were not patriotic, and the results
were published in an antiemetic brochure.
Your answer to the first question is confusing - these were not the effects of WWI on Jews in the Pale and Galicia.
ReplyDeleteSecond answer is incorrect - the results of the Jew Count showed that Jews served in the German military in higher proportions than other Germans.
